After School Specialist, Youth Services (part time): coordinate and supervise students participating in the After School Program, serving students attending Fowler High School and PSLA. Working collaboratively with the team, connect with and excite youth, research, develop and implement creative and engaging youth enrichment programming, facilitate groups, maintain required documentation. Qualifications: Demonstrated cultural competency and youth engagement skills with an AA/AS in education or human service preferred.
Training Specialist/After School Coordinator, Youth Services (full-time, temporary position): responsible for providing training and skill development services to youth on various topics including alternatives to violence, life skills, family issues, and other pro-social issues. Provide assistance in coordinating Fowler High School After School Alternatives program including recruiting, coordinating, supervising students participating in Violence Prevention, Senior Peer Leaders and other activities. Provide “student success support” for students and ongoing communication with parents. Work with CCA staff to develop training programs and training curricula. Qualifications: Demonstrated cultural competency and youth engagement skills with a BA/BS in human service field, NYS Driver License & car required.

Project Director, Recovery Network: responsibilities include policy and program development in conjunction with the Director of Recovery Services, supervision of project staff, oversight of outreach plan to recruit and retain individuals to become members of the Recovery Network, peer leadership training, grant management and reporting, and liaison with community partners. Qualifications: Master's degree in public administration, health, social work or criminal justice; CASAC or personal experience with recovery (5 years or more of sustained sobriety) and/or criminal justice issues preferred. Excellent management, supervisory and written/oral communication skills.
Recovery Care Manager, Recovery Network: support individuals who are in recovery and who may have prior criminal justice experience to participate in the Rochester Recovery Network (RRN). Screen and assess for substance use disorders, make referrals to behavioral health, health and other supportive servicesas needed. Monitor participants= recovery status, assist with the coordination of affiliation activities, facilitate peer leadership training modules and supervise peers in the delivery of services. Qualifications: QHP: CASAC, LMSW, LCSW, CRC, or AAMFT required. Personal experience with recovery and/or criminal justice issues strongly preferred. Valid NYS drivers license and vehicle required.
Outreach Coordinator, Recovery Network: responsible for recruiting and organizing individuals who are in recovery and who have prior criminal justice experience to participate in the Syracuse Recovery Network. Speak publically on behalf of the Network and advocates for the rights of people in recovery. Qualifications: Personal experience with recovery and/or criminal justice issues with demonstrated clean time (3-5 years). Cultural competency and prior community organizing or related experience. Excellent communication skills. Bachelor’s degree preferred but work and life experience may substitute for academic qualification.
Reintegration Services Project Director: responsible for the development and coordination of reentry and employment services programs serving individuals with current or previous involvement in the criminal justice system and /or unemployed or under employed individuals living in the James Geddes public housing including direct staff supervision, limited direct service delivery, collaborating with contracting partners,developing employer relationships, program data collection and reporting, and ensuring contract deliverables are met. Qualifications: Master’s degree in public administration or human service field preferred. Ability to gain clearance to the local correctional facility required. Strong written/oral communication, project and data management and supervisory skills required. Computer literacy required. Valid NYS driver’s license and access to vehicle required.
Advocacy Services Project Director, Client Specific Planning: responsible for the coordination and provision of client specific planning and sentence mitigation services to achieve the best possible dispositions for clients facing criminal charges, maintaining the integrity of and overseeing development of the program and supervising direct service staff, consultants and interns. Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree required; J.D. or Master’s degree in human service field preferred, or comparable work experience. Extensive knowledge in criminal sentencing, ability to identify appropriate treatment providers and/or programs in the community and/or the correctional setting. Superior written/oral communication, project management (including project performance reporting) and supervisory skills. Computer literacy required. Valid NYS driver’s license and access to vehicle required. Ability to gain clearance to correctional facilities.
Reentry Clinic Specialist: in partnership with the Syracuse Housing Authority, the Reentry Clinic is providing legal services through the Juvenile Reentry Assistance Program (JRAP), a multi-state program funded by the US Department of Housing and Urban Development. This position is responsible for program outreach to youth and community partners, and coordination of outreach with SHA. The program is responsible for assisting clients (youth ages 14 – 24 years old) who have been involved in the juvenile or adult criminal justice system and who currently reside in public housing, or, but for their criminal record,would be living in public housing. Assistance includes reviewing criminal history records, correcting errors on records, applying for sealing of eligible convictions/adjudications, counseling clients on their criminal histories and employment rights, and assisting clients in obtaining Certificates of Rehabilitation.Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in human services. Required: interest or experience in criminal justice field; commitment to working with people, particularly youth, of diverse backgrounds; writing and advocacy skills; attention to detail; and computer literacy (word processing, e-mail,internet research, data entry).
